POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title:  Compliance Auditor or Senior Compliance Auditor
Reports To:  Lead Compliance Auditor

Salary Range:  $45,000 – $95,000

SUMMARY

A Compliance Auditor or Senior Compliance Auditor is responsible for the planning and management of the financial services compliance review process for our financial institution clients. Responsibilities will include working as part of the Compliance Audit Team, performing reviews, maintaining constructive relationships with client contacts, and working with other
auditors to ensure that the compliance review program functions effectively. Performance of marketing and business development activities will be an integral part of this position. This
position may require occasional overnight travel.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  2. A) A Senior Compliance Auditor will have 5 years audit or compliance experience with experience in financial institutions, OR three years of fully satisfactory performance as a compliance auditor (as determined by the President/CEO)
    B) A Compliance Auditor may have minimal audit or compliance experience
  3. A working knowledge of federal and state banking regulations and compliance laws
  4. Exceptional analytical, verbal, and written communication skills

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, perform, and execute compliance reviews designed to add value to client operations
  • Establish Statements of Work for client projects and monitor time allocated to projects to ensure projects stay on time and within budget
  • Establish and successfully maintain partnerships with clients with an understanding of business objectives and processes
  • Maintain an understanding of all key regulatory and legal requirements relevant to client lines of business while attending training as necessary
  • Manage multiple assignments and exams simultaneously, including interpretations of compliance laws and regulations, making recommendations for resolutions and the course
    of action to be taken based on facts and applicable laws or regulations
  • Write technical reports of findings and violations of laws and regulations, including concerns and recommendations regarding client business practices and compliance with
    laws and regulations

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated potential to gain knowledge of federal and state regulatory compliance laws, rules, and regulations that apply to CSG and clients
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure staff/client-related issues are handled in a fair, consistent, and proactive manner
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Excellent oral and written skills to effectively communicate in the English language
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software in order to summarize and present data in an effective manner
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task
  • Ability to work independently and as a constructive member of a team
  • Ability to present a professional image to management, co-workers, clients, and outside contacts
