Version 2016 for CY 2016 data due March 1, 2017 is now available from the FFIEC. Each software version is year-specific (i.e., 2015 reporting requires 2015 DES and not 2016 DES).

System Requirements

The software must be installed locally on a hard disk; it is NOT network compatible.

1. Minimum OS: Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 SP2
2. Internet connection (for submission via web and automatic rate spread updates)
3. Sufficient user privileges on the installation location (read, write, and modify)

Installation Instructions

1. The software should be installed locally; it is NOT network compatible.
2. Locate the directory which contains the “HMDA (or CRA) DES 20XX Setup” installation package.
3. Double-click on the installer to launch the wizard which will guide you through the installation process.

Note: To preserve your data when installing a newer release of the Data Entry Software, updates should be installed to the same location as the earlier release of the same year (e.g., CRA DES v. 2015 R.2 should be installed to the same location as CRA DES v. 2015).

If installing a new year release (e.g. you are installing HMDA DES 2016 at the beginning of your reporting year), the software must be installed to a new, year-specific directory. (The software is configured to do this by default.)
